Cityu introduced a new logo in 2015 and revised it again in 2019. The newly revised logo policy adopts a unified design, and the appearance is more coordinated and clear. The revised logo is based on the principle that CitYU should strive to convey its image as a united organization with a common vision, goals and high quality.

All academic, administrative and support units of the University (such as faculties, departments, departments, research centres and offices) shall use the Cityu logo and no other logos shall be used, and their names shall be in a consistent format to show a clear and equal association with the University.

But there are two exceptions. The Hong Kong Institute for Advanced Study (HKRI) can have its own logo. On the one hand, the HKRI is of a high level (its members include Nobel Prize winners), and on the other hand, it is expected that the HKRI will continue to develop beyond the university level in the future, becoming a territury-wide institution located at CitYU rather than “owned” by CitYU. The Institute is expected to develop into a research institution in “Hong Kong” and become a very high-level academic research centre in the region.

Another exception is the Jockey Club College of Veterinary Medicine and Life Sciences, which has close links with Cornell University in the United States at university level. Cornell University is a strategic partner of CitYU and has worked together since the beginning of Cityu’s animal medicine program.
